FROM LIMITATIONS TO POSSIBILITIES

God’s commitment to us is unshakable, and He celebrates the deployment of our talents for kingdom advancement. Understanding this principle is crucial in unlocking opportunities.

Opportunity is an occasion or situation that makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do. It’s about having the possibility of doing something. In 1 Corinthians 16:8-9, Paul mentions that there is a wonderful opportunity for him to do some work in Ephesus, but there are also many people who are against him. This shows that opportunities often come with challenges and adversaries.

Several keys can help unlock opportunities. These include stopping complaints, having faith in God, delighting in the Lord, understanding your capacity, and understanding your source.

  • Stop complaining. This is crucial because what you say matters. Proverbs 6:2 says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth; thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” Controlling your mouth is essential to keeping your life.
  • Having faith in God is also vital. Faith is about having absolute trust in God and believing in His word. Hebrews 11:1-2 defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Through faith, the elders obtained a good report and subdued kingdoms.
  • Delighting in the Lord is another key. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” When the Lord is your joy, He will give you the desires of your heart.
  • Understanding your capacity is also important. This refers to knowing how much you can carry, take, or contain. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This verse emphasizes the importance of understanding your capacity through Christ.
  • Understanding your source is equally crucial. With God, nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” This verse highlights the power of God in unlocking opportunities.
  • Being persistent is another key to unlocking opportunities. Don’t give up when faced with challenges. Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Persistence is essential in achieving your goals and unlocking opportunities.

The story of Joseph in the Bible is a great example of persistence. It took Joseph 13 years to become the prime minister of Egypt. He faced many challenges, including being sold into slavery and incarcerated. However, he remained faithful and persistent, and God lifted him to a position of power.

In conclusion, unlocking opportunities requires persistence, faith, and understanding your capacity and source. By applying these keys, you can unlock doors to new opportunities and achieve your goals.
